Six principles we use when building systems.
They guide what we build, what we connect, what we automate, and where human review remains useful.
Build around workflows
The system should fit how the business actually works. We avoid changing a working process simply to accommodate the software around it.
Integrate before replacing
Existing tools are often sufficient. Where the gap is between systems rather than within them, we prefer connecting them before replacing them.
Automate repetition
We automate repeatable steps while keeping human review where decisions require context or judgement. That balance can change as the process improves.
Keep humans where judgement matters
Financial, compliance and other high-impact decisions retain a human review step, with automated workflows designed so they can be checked or stopped when needed.
Stay modular
We avoid depending on a single platform more than the work requires. Modular systems are easier to change, replace and extend over time.
Apply AI selectively
We use AI where it improves a defined process. It is a component within the system, not the strategy itself.
Keep humans where judgement matters.
High-impact steps remain subject to human review, while routine steps can continue automatically.
